During the pandemic, there has been much discussion about the role of the artist and the concept of productivity. The choice to work on small black and white drawings, with a lot of white space around them, comes from a desire to depict the isolation and "suspended" situation we are experiencing, also working on the simplicity of the line as a detox from the frenzy of drawing.
A bit of a manifesto for the joyful downsizing of artistic industries, if you will, but also a wish for reflection on how we were living before this emergency.
Enjoy silence, enjoy emptiness.
