During the short walks outside and from images sent by friends, I came out with this series of drawings, which stems from observing the outside world during the days of the first quarantine (March-May 2020).

During the pandemic, there has been much discussion about the role of the artist and the concept of productivity. The choice to work on small black and white drawings, with a lot of white space around them, comes from a desire to depict the isolation and "suspended" situation we are experiencing, also working on the simplicity of the line as a detox from the frenzy of drawing.

A bit of a manifesto for the joyful downsizing of artistic industries, if you will, but also a wish for reflection on how we were living before this emergency.

Enjoy silence, enjoy emptiness.
